If you’re in the market for a treadmill, then you need to know that like us, not all treadmills are made equal, especially those built by ProForm. The ultimate treadmill is subject to user preference and the ProForm 505 CST Treadmill is so feature-laden that it’s almost sure to satisfy even the most enthusiastic fitness buffs amongst us.

While most will associate the name ProForm with treadmills, they do have a complete line of exercise bikes, ellipticals, weight benches and accessories. Pioneering in the SpaceSaver® foldaway design, it continues to produce innovative products with avant-garde features, particularly in their treadmills.

Product Description

A workout on a ProForm treadmill is an entirely new experience. Their treadmills are cushioned giving maximum comfort and protection for your joints. The 505 CST has an abundance of additional features, and as with all ProForm treadmills, it carries on the SpaceSaver® legacy.

Product Features

You will find that the 505 CST offers quiet operation, quick incline and quick speed controls. It comes with an extended 25-year motor, lifetime frame and 1-year parts and labour warranties. But here is what makes this treadmill stand out from the crowd:

  • ProShox Lite 3 Cushioning for maximum comfort

  • Space saving design

  • Large 6-inch backlit display for clear and easy reading

  • Built-in handlebar Dual-Grip EKG™ heart rate monitor sensors

  • iFit® Live technology compatible for smarter workouts powered by Google Maps; featuring training with Jillian Michaels and auto-speed/incline controls, connecting and competing with other runners around the world; and customised workouts

  • 15 built-in workout apps

  • Built-in iPod compatible Intermix Acoustics 2.0 sound system

  • Quiet and self-cooling 2.25 CHP Mach Z motor drive system

  • 0-10 mph QuickSpeed control

  • Built-in safety feature

  • 20” x 55” walking surface

  • Up to 300 lbs user weight

What Customers Are Saying

Overall, customers are happy with the versatility ProForm 505 CST Treadmill has to offer. The iFit® Live technology, 15 workout apps, and built-in sound system, makes working out on this treadmill fun; taking the monotony out of daily workouts. Those who speak highly of it rave about the comfort, quiet operation, large display, sound system, and space saving aspects of this equipment.

“This treadmill is great! I’ve been a runner for years and always hated treadmills but this one just feels right. The shock absorb really helps my bad ankle, and the motor is so smooth. Google Maps is a plus along with the many other options. I highly recommend this; it’s a great treadmill at a great price. Warning, the assembly is a little annoying but that’s to be expected with any treadmill.”

The problem that seemed to disgruntle some customers is the time-consuming assembly it requires. It can take a couple of hours to set this treadmill up. In addition, it needs to be activated with a magnetic key (a safety feature), just like a car needs a key in the ignition to start. A few found this step slightly daunting.

Conclusion

The ProForm 505 CST Treadmill is worth the investment. This quality treadmill is packed with goodies and is even on par with the more expensive commercial models. It takes treadmill workouts to a whole new level and offers an experience that will keep you wanting to run better and faster.
